Whatever way you slice it, the ticketed, pop-up, experiential environment is an international phenomenon and a mouthful of industry buzzwords that has no bigger audience worldwide than it does in Los Angeles. Before the tidal wave of food-themed selfie tours hit LA, Think Tank Gallery was producing such immersive attractions with artists from around the world, including the breakout Break Bread, a cake-themed experience that saw over 33,000 guests and 28 sold out events. Many more sold out, ticketed pop-ups shortly followed in local markets (some using Think Tank artists), and a new and lucrative industry was born, largely originating in DTLA.

We’re taking responsibility for what we’ve done. We helped get everyone into this mess. Now we’re making the most of it.

THIS SUMMER, JOIN US IN INVITING THE HYPE MACHINE AT PIZZABOYZZZ AS THEY PRESENT THE HYPHIEST PIZZA-THEMED INSTAGRAM PALACE IN HISTORY.

NOTHING CHEEZY IS THREE THINGS:

  • a weekly spotlight on a local pizza joint, alongside a free, rotating art show

  • a weekly merch drop and artist collaboration by Pizzaboyzzz, and

  • a ticketed tour of the craziest kitchen you’ve ever seen – with some free fire thrown in – to see how the dough gets made.

PLZ READ THE FAQs:

Who are the artists in the show?
These ones.

Why am I paying to go to an art show?
You don't have to pay for the art show. There's a free gallery in our front showroom featuring hundreds of artists and all of the merch that's for sale. This separate ticket for sale brings you through our immersive environment of crazy installations and games, with some free swag and food included. Also, the artists that built the show are splitting the profits.

When should I plan to arrive?
You can arrive anytime within the time range printed on your ticket. There is no show time, just open hours.

How long is the experience and what's included?
You can expect your self-guided selfie tour of our crazy pizza installations to take 30-60 minutes in total depending on how long you take to eat or play arcades. That's less than 50¢ per minute, and on top of that you'll get over $20 of food and merch per ticket as our artists' and pizza artisans' gifts to you. Tonight also features a large variety of games to play.

For tickets that include Unlimited Entry for Two, how does it work?
You and one guest will be able to come to the show every single day that it's open for regular hours. Capacity restrictions will still apply so you might have to stand in line (fire laws...), but you can come as often as you'd like. You will only get your complimentary items like pins and pizza on your first visit, however.

Can I take pictures?
Duh. That's like half the point of the joke. But no flash, plz. These are real art pieces that include theatrical lighting and your flash will ruin their presentation.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Parental advisory is suggested for viewing the 20 rotating artworks, and navigating the neighborhood tbh, but the event is all ages. Special events with alcohol will be 21+\

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is free street parking all over our neighborhood, as well as meters and paid lots nearby.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You don't have to bring a printed ticket, but you do need a digital copy at least. We'll give you an original Nothing Cheezy coupon which will get stamped as you receive your complimentary items throughout the experience.

Our goal is for audiences to stumble upon meaningful — not mindless — entertainment, and we have been named by Vice Magazine as one of the country’s “Top 25 Most Instagrammable Arts Spaces.”
